TextMine Signs Alpha Trial Agreement with Vodafone

Global Trial commences with Application to go live on 8th April

13th March 2002 -- TextMine today entered into an agreement with Vodafone granting them a licence of TextMine's software for a global trial involving initially Sweden, The Netherlands, Spain, and Ireland.

This is a significant benefit to the company both in terms of exposure and in terms of technological validation. The timing of the trial also fits well into our schedule of roll-out with other distributors.

The intention is that TextMine enters into a commercial agreement with Vodafone at the conclusion of this royalty-free trial, when TextMine will have access to channels and customers, cross-selling options, bundling of new services with existing ones, as well as Vodafone branding, accreditation, and hosting.

Participation in the full commercial service opens up a vast and powerful array of resources provided by Vodafone such as: access to training, conferences, standards bodies, international sales data, alliance advice, trends data, and business planning advice. Also available will be access to platform and device standards, development kits, security solutions, sample code, patches, and device specifications. TextMine will have access to the network, test equipment and laboratories, emulators, test groups and validation from a Vodafone-endorsed community expert, and we will have valuable and ongoing support over telephone and e-mail and access to provision of billing capabilities.
